Spiritual Uplift

You know when life is going easy, sometimes our prayers are repetitive. I felt this the last little while. I read my scriptures, I pray, I do everything that I am suppose to, but is my heart drawn close to the spirit always? It's interesting in my life, when I am going through a trial I am closer to the spirit. That is sad for me because I want to always be close. I think that's why The Lord allows trials, they are out of love...He wants us to grow and develop and remember Him. I am sure He feels pain and saddness when we feel it, yet it is neccessary. Nothing horribly bad has been going on lately (except the speeding ticket I got today, 34 in a 25 zone!?:0) but this past weekend I have had a lot of Spritual Uplift, Just by going to church and having a fast and testimony meeting. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and the church I am a member of. I saw this today and wept...what a beautiful family in the gospel.
